Medical Aid Trust, Pondy Eddy Foundation Conducts A 3-Day Free Medical Outreach in Burukutu, Delta State

In a successful collaboration with the Pondy Eddy Foundation, our Medical Aid Team conducted a 3-Day Free Medical Outreach in Sokebolou and Yokri communities in Ogulagha, Burutu LGA, Delta State. From December 9th to 11th, 2021, we had the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of over 280 individuals including children.

During the outreach, our team provided a range of essential healthcare services. This included medical consultations, treatment, and the distribution of medications and eyeglasses. We also performed eye surgeries and focused on improving sanitation measures in the communities.

Dr. Victor Agbonkpokor, Executive Director of the Medical Aid Trust, expressed his gratitude to the Pondy Eddy Foundation for their crucial partnership in identifying and supporting this important initiative. He highlighted the significance of aligning partnerships with the trust’s vision of reaching those who are unable to afford quality healthcare.

“The Medical Aid Trust Team is always prepared to provide healthcare services when opportunities like this arise,” Dr. Agbonkpokor stated. “We are grateful to the Pondy Eddy Foundation for allowing us to show love and compassion to the people of Burutu through our medical aid efforts.

This impactful outreach has not only improved the health and well-being of the Sokebolou and Yokri communities but also serves as a reminder of the power of productive partnerships in expanding access to quality healthcare.
